A lucky camper is driving toward this iconic Kananaskis peak.
Mt. Rae ahead as one climbs on The Bighorn Highway (Hwy 40) from this first summit on the way south to the top of Highwood Pass. This spectacularly scenic road is also known as the Kananaskis Trail. Highwood Pass summit is 7239 feet (2206 m). The Pass is the highest paved pass in Canada. The pass is closed each year from December to June 15 to protect wildlife.
